Matthew Roetter, President of Roetter Window and Door Company, Inc. is the leading Fenestration (Window and Door) expert witness in the United States, as he has been retained on the most class action cases either as a work consultant or expert witness. With window and door litigation, the objective is to identify the defects. Are the defects due to either manufacturing or design? Did the contractor install the windows and or doors in a defective manner? Or, did the project owner fail to properly maintain the windows and or doors which is a maintenance defect. Roetter Window and Door Company, Inc. can answer these critical questions. Many defects are hidden, and therefore disassembly of the window or door system is the only way to find latent defects.

The majority of our cases are water infiltration and resulting premature wood rot. By disassembly forensic analysis of fenestration components and with the aid of Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry, water paths are identified along with detection of wood preservatives. Detection of inert gas injected into insulated glass can also be accomplished, typically Argon and or Krypton.
